I have always had a desire to visually interpret and communicate personal experiences, hoping to share private inspirations with those who see my art. I enjoy the process of distilling and recording the fleeting light and movement of specific moments in time.  A recurring theme in all of my work is translating into a material presence that which has only been imagined or felt.  The tension between what I see and what I perceive serves as a source of continuous and new subject matter for my work, constantly challenging me to balance form with content. My observations have led me to determine that nothing is insignificant;  I want those who view my work to see the physical world through a reinvigorated  lens.  My focus is on describing images in which spiritual messages seem to be contained within physical settings. I aim to depict the sometimes thin veil between heaven and earth, between a holy voice and routine noise.  It is my delight to carefully edit subject matter, manipulating color, line, form and space to achieve rhythms which echo relationships between the mundane and the divine.
